Welcome the magic of fall with this whimsical, autumn-inspired Frozen 2 tea party birthday! If you’re planning a princess party, tea party, fall birthday, or even a cozy twist on the typical Frozen theme—this post is for you.
When my daughter Elsa (yes, Elsa!) turned six, I wanted her celebration to reflect the warm, foresty tones of Frozen 2—not the icy blues of the original movie. I envisioned swirling leaves, cozy treats, rich autumn colors, and just the right touch of Arendelle magic. Now, full disclosure: we live in Florida, and her birthday is in August. So while this may look like a crisp fall tea party, the reality outside was 100 degrees with 100% humidity. The leaves weren’t changing… unless you count the silk ones I dumped all over the living room floor. But sometimes, when summer feels never-ending, you just need to crank the AC, pour some hot tea, and pretend it’s sweater weather. This party became our cozy, magical escape—and the ultimate fall fantasy, minus the actual cold front.
Before her guests arrived, I snapped a few quiet moments of the birthday girl soaking in all the magic. Dressed as her namesake and surrounded by flickering candles, swirling leaves, and royal tea party touches, Elsa beamed with anticipation. These little pre-party moments are always my favorite!

Elsa asked for a few special photos with her baby brother Noah—who, of course, had to be dressed like a snowman. He didn’t attend the party itself, but Elsa loved having a few sweet Frozen-themed moments with him to kick off her magical day.

Arrival Activities: Dress-Up & Imaginative Play
As guests arrived, they were greeted by a rack of Anna and Elsa princess dresses to choose from. Beside the rack, I set out Elsa’s Frozen dollhouse to spark some imaginative play while everyone settled in.

On the dining table, I laid out Frozen-themed "build-a-character" sticker sheets with paper and a little accessory bundle for each guest: a princess crown, faux pearl necklace, gloves, and a folding fan to match their chosen gown.

Fall Decor Magic
The decor is what brought this party to life. I went all in on warm autumn tones—plum, cranberry, pumpkin orange, and soft gold—layering the space with balloons, garlands, table runners, and leafy details in every corner. It felt like Arendelle had been swept up in a magical fall breeze, and the effect was absolutely enchanting.

One of my favorite spots was the cupcake display. I arranged the Anna and Elsa–inspired cupcakes on a tiered stand—each with purple or silver wrappers and decorated with fall-colored frosting and Frozen-themed sprinkles. On top stood Bruni, the fire spirit salamander from Frozen 2, keeping watch over the sweets. Beside him, Olaf stood next to a letter board displaying one of his famous quotes from the movie: “This will all make sense when I am older.” Add in two glowing, fall-scented candles and a bouquet of sunflowers, and the whole setup felt like autumn coziness had collided with Arendelle charm in the best way possible.

The Tea Party
To set the stage for our princess tea, I combined two long folding tables into one inviting banquet setup right in the living room. Each place setting featured real china teacups, snowflake napkin rings, gold rimmed plates, and fancy folded napkins, giving the table a royal, grown-up feel while still keeping it fun for little guests. Autumn tones were layered in through the linens, paper doilies, and tiny pumpkin decorations. And of course, Frozen 2 characters like Anna, Sven, and Olaf made surprise appearances at each place setting—because no royal tea in Arendelle is complete without friends.

For the food, I kept it kid-friendly and visually appealing:
* Main dish: Chick-fil-A nuggets, portioned into decorative cups for a refined look.
* Dipping sauces: I bought full-sized Chick-fil-A sauces and portioned them into condiment cups—no branded fast food packaging in Arendelle, thank you very much!
* Sides: Colorful fall-hued snacks like baby carrots, purple grapes, and cubes of cheese were arranged in little cups.
* Desserts: Mini eclairs, cheesecake bites, and bowls of chocolate chip cookies filled the table, along with candy dishes of Hershey Kisses at each place setting.
For drinks, I offered:
* Hot tea: Pretty teapots filled with hot water, plus tea bags, sugar packets, and real tea cups so the girls could make their own.
* Pink lemonade: on a separate table, in case kids didn't care for tea

Game Time: Frozen Finish-the-Lyrics
While enjoying tea and treats, the girls played a Frozen-themed lyric game. I made cards with the beginnings of familiar Frozen song lyrics, and the girls had to finish the line.

Cupcake Decorating Activity
Once tea time was done, Elsa opened her presents while I cleared and reset the table for cupcake decorating. Each guest received:
* A chocolate cupcake (purple wrapper) with purple frosting ("Anna")
* A vanilla cupcake (silver wrapper) with light blue frosting ("Elsa")
* A plate of six pre-portioned themed toppings (fall and Frozen-inspired!)
* Two gold knives for frosting
The girls got to decorate both cupcakes and take them home in individual cupcake carriers as their party favor. Of course, they could also eat the pre-decorated cupcakes stand of pre-decorated ones they could eat on the spot.

Frozen Karaoke + Fall Leaf Fun
To close out the party, we turned the living room into a magical Frozen karaoke experience. I played Frozen karaoke tracks on the TV, and each girl rotated through different roles for each song:
* Singing with microphones while twirling ribbons
* Playing percussion instruments
* Blowing bubbles
* Throwing silk fall leaves (yes, the entire floor was covered!)
And of course, all the percussion instruments were set on a resin tree stump. Because details matter.

As the party came to a close and the guests were winding down, baby Noah made a special return appearance—still dressed in his snowman outfit. The moment he entered the room, the princesses swarmed around him like he was royalty himself. It was the sweetest ending to a truly magical day.

Final Thoughts
This party combined the enchantment of Frozen 2 with the cozy magic of fall. It was a hit with every guest—and most importantly, with my little Elsa. I hope this post inspires you to think beyond snowflakes and embrace the warm side of the Frozen world.
Whether you’re planning a princess tea party, fall birthday, or just love a good themed celebration, this party proves you can keep it kid-friendly and still make it feel special, styled, and immersive.
